Rivian

Rivian made a splash in Palo Alto during the summer of 2025 with the delivery of the world's first Rivian patrol car, an electric R1S SUV Rivian, to the Palo Alto Police Department and the opening of an engaging new demo space at the Stanford Shopping Center. Rivian engineers are now focused on delivering new midsize, 5-seat models that are optimized for big adventures and everyday use.

Page Mill Labs

Page Mill Labs, a new 77,300-square-foot incubation space in Stanford Research Park, provides flexible wet labs and shared resources for today’s most innovative start-ups, many founded by Stanford faculty. Page Mill Labs marks a new era for life sciences at 950 Page Mill Road—the legendary site where Dr. Alejandro Zaffaroni founded pharmaceutical pioneer, Alza Corporation, over a half-century ago. Building on decades of innovation, Page Mill Labs strengthens the Park’s legacy as the West Coast’s premier life science cluster.

1X Technologies HQ

1X Technologies opened their new HQ in Stanford Research Park in Summer 2025. 1X is developing a soft-sided humanoid robot to handle everyday tasks in the home. Their 80,000 sq. ft. facility accommodates 400 employees and was selected to position their team at the global center of AI and robotics to attract top talent and foster close collaboration with partners and investors.

Arc Institute

Headquartered in Stanford Research Park since 2023, Arc Institute operates in partnership with Stanford University, UCSF, and UC Berkeley. Arc gives scientists no-strings-attached, multi-year funding and invests in the rapid development of experimental and computational technological tools. Arc researchers collaborate across diverse disciplines to study complex diseases, including cancer, neurodegeneration, and immune dysfunction.
